2001 saw the launch of connect2image.com a very basic web based photographic business allowing athletes to buy rowing images captured by ARA Coach Tutor Colin Cruwys.

Growth in demand for both Colin’s images and the need for a direct and secure credit card payment facility in 2003 saw our print production and online payment options being provided by a dedicated gallery hosting and print supplier.

|
The next two years saw an increase in the number of athletes and sports using the service as well as contract shoots alongside more frequent magazine and press work.

In 2006 it was decided to re-launch the direct selling side of the business as Sportraiture.com whilst maintaining the supply of media, commercial and syndicated options through the secure subscription option of Sportrait.net

As a coach who participated in some of the very earliest child protection workshops, initiated by Sports Coach UK; Colin maintains a current Enhanced CRB Check and also any photographers covering events for Sportraiture.com are CRB checked where children are present and involved.
